Life Unusual : 07 Apr 2020

We have a pandemic on our hands. It is relentless as it is indiscriminate. We are reacting to it, striving to find a vaccine which is still months, if not years away. Communities at large remain under lock-down or some form of movement control and social distancing. Recently we learned that wearing of masks when going out can help prevent the transmission of the virus.

Working from home is the new norm now. In order to move forward, society need to make adjustments to find a new equilibrium. If life is a pond, a huge rock in the form of COVID-19 has just been thrown into it, resulting in strong ripples across the surface. The rock is part of the pond now, and, depending on certain parameters, the water level of the pond now has risen to a new level. Hence, a new equilibrium is expected. For humanity, we shall rise to meet it. We have to be resilient, and we will overcome this together.
