Life Unusual : 1 Apr 2020
In challenging times like these, I realize money can't buy everything, especially not protection nor safety. All of us are exposed to the threat COVID-19 poses. It transcends all levels of the society, disregarding economic, culture, race, intellectual and spiritual factors.
I think our survival comes by going back to the basics. What am I saying? I am suggesting, perhaps we need to "re-look" at how we do life, both now and perhaps the future - prioritizing not just physical well-being, but also mental well-being, the spiritual aspect and the oft neglected, taken for granted, close relationships. I am saying we can learn from what's happening now, and begin to make some changes in our lives. Because I believe these factors can help us through such tough times.
Also on a personal level, I realized that in times like this, I was able to forgo that bottle of more expensive ground coffee for a less expensive, more common type of ground coffee. I noticed when I don't have any choice (due to the movement control, or temporarily out of stock ingredients), out of "desperation" I can actually eat almost anything in order to survive. Not bad... I am growing. 😊
